Construction process flow

Construction preparation (material transportation and setting out) → base treatment (cleaning) → geogrid laying (laying method, overlapping width) → filler (method, particle size) → roll up the lattice → lower grid laying

Construction steps

1、 Foundation treatment
1. First, the lower layer shall be leveled and rolled. The flatness shall not be greater than 15mm, and the compactness shall meet the design requirements. The surface shall be free of hard protrusions such as crushed stone and block stone.
2、 Geogrid laying
1. When storing and laying geogrids, avoid exposure to the sun and long-term exposure to avoid performance deterioration.
2. It is laid perpendicular to the direction of the line, the lap joint meets the requirements of the design drawing, and the connection is firm. The strength of the joint in the stress direction is not lower than the design tensile strength of the material, and its overlap
The combined length shall not be less than 20 cm.
3. The quality of geogrid shall meet the requirements of design drawings.
4. The construction shall be continuous and free from distortion, wrinkle and overlap. Pay attention to tighten the grid to make it stress and use people. Tighten it to make it uniform, flat, close to the lower bearing surface
Fix with dowels and other measures.
5. For geogrid, the long hole direction shall be consistent with the line cross section direction, and the geogrid shall be straightened and leveled. The end of the grating shall be treated according to the design.
6. Fill the geogrid in time after paving, and the interval shall not exceed 48h to avoid direct exposure to the sun.

3、 Filler
After the grid is paved, it shall be filled in time. The filling shall be carried out symmetrically according to the principle of “two sides first, then the middle”. It is forbidden to fill the middle of the embankment first. The packing is not allowed to be directly unloaded at 10
The T-grid must be unloaded on the paved soil surface, and the unloading height shall not be greater than 1m. All vehicles and construction machinery shall not walk directly on the paved grid,
Only drive along the embankment.
4、 Rollover grille
After the first layer is filled to the predetermined thickness and compacted to the design compactness, the grid shall be rolled back and wrapped for 2m and bound on the upper layer of the geogrid, and the anchoring shall be repaired manually.
Earth 1m outside the roll end to protect the grid from man-made damage.
5、 One layer of geogrid shall be paved according to the above method, and other layers of geogrid shall be paved according to the same method and steps. After the geogrid is paved, the upper layer of geogrid shall be started
Embankment filling.

Construction precautions

1.The direction of high strength of the grid shall be consistent with the direction of high stress.
2. Try to avoid heavy vehicles driving directly on the paved geogrid.
3. The cutting amount and stitching amount of geogrid shall be minimized to avoid waste.
4. During construction in cold season, the geogrid becomes hard and it is easy to cut hands and wipe knees. Pay attention to safety.
